CaribStu Dive Schedules

SET YOUR OWN SCHEDULE WITHIN THESE HOURS

Dive times are between 07:00 and 16:30

Dawn dives between 05:00 and 07:00

Night Dives at 18:30

Most Clients leave it to me to set the schedule however you can choose to dive up to three dives each day between these times. If you want a morning dive at 06:30 and the next at 08:30 then a third after lunch, you can. Perhaps you would prefer to make three dives back to back? Or just two dives. Some people want two mid morning dives starting at 09:00 and finished in time for lunch.

You let me know when you prefer to dive, I then set your schedule to suit.

Remember, there is also the opportunity to make dawn dives between 05:00 and 07:00. If your planning multi day diving and will be in the Speyside area I seriously recommend at least one dawn dive.

Night dives are at 18:30. In Speyside I run night dives by boat and chose the dive site that is in my opinion the best for that night. Whenever possible I like you to have dived the site during the day for an orientation. Night dives in the south are done from the beach on Kariwak reef. This is a fantastic reef close to shore and the shallow nature often allows us to make dives excessive of 60 minutes, or until we get cold!

I check tides daily and keep you informed as to tide movements as some dive sites are better dived during high or low tide. Some however are much more fun with the excitement of added current during tidal changes!

Considerations when planning your schedule

I have a minimum of 60 minutes surface time between dive one and two. If a third dive is made then the surface time is either a minimum of 60 minutes or more time if required to give us sufficient dive time at our maximum depth for the third dive. Safety is always a priority and I do not rush you back into the water for the next dive.

Additionally when making multi dives in one day, unless there is a safety reason to abort a dive early, dives are ended on a maximum bottom time of 50 minutes or when one of your party reaches an ending pressure of 50 bar or 700 psi.

I do try to encourage divers to start early, the benefits are more pelagic activity, we have the ocean to ourselves and will rarely see another dive boat, far less other divers, plus start early and you finish with enough time to explore the waterfalls or beaches.

Yet another one of the advantages of choosing Caribstu Dive Service is that you are not restricted to a set schedule of two dives at 09:30 and 11:30, this is particularly beneficial when diving Speyside as many of the southern end based dive shops will make day trips to the north and arrive to dive after 10 am when all the major activity is over, hence why they almost never see big stuff.
